ORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENT

Organizational alignment is the smooth coordination of aligning organizational culture, organizational values, leadership values, personal values, organizational trust, people, leadership, management, strategies, policies, structures, management systems, procedures, processes, tasks, activities, practices, and performance aim to reach strategic goals, purpose, and vision and to accomplish the mission.

TRAINING METHODOLOGY
DRN highly appreciates and encourages students to prepare reading materials before class and actively participate in class discussions. Interactive instructional methods such as case studies, exercises, and activities will be used throughout the sessions.

PARTICIPANTS

For all members of companies’ and organizations’ Organizational Alignment Consulting Project Team. The Organizational Alignment training course is held at companies’ and organizations’ offices and locations. In addition, students nominated by companies and organizations to attend the Organizational Alignment training course do not include the Organizational Alignment Consulting Project at businesses and organizations’ offices and locations.

OBJECTIVES OF THE TRAINING COURSE
Students understand the foundations and models of organizational alignment; understanding the organization as a system will help organizational leaders unite vision, mission, strategic goals, corporate policies, business policies, functional policies, corporate strategies, business strategies, functional strategies, organizational culture, organizational values, leadership values, organizational structure, business processes, performance, and employee engagement to achieve optimal organizational alignment.

Organization as a system. Organizational system – main components, Organizational influences. Definition of organizational culture. Culture and leadership values. Types of graph culture related to components/aspects. Antecedents to structural alignment. Outcomes of structural alignment. Organizational alignment and individual performance. Employee participation. Explore organizational alignment and employee engagement.

Day II

Business alignment: Process. Business alignment: culture. Business culture and leadership practices. Organizational processes alignment. Strategic alignment. Perspectives of alignment. Process perspective. Relational perspective. Strategic perspective. Recent concepts of alignment. Types of alignment and relevance to human resources. Organizational alignment: from a cause-and-effect perspective to a fit perspective. Culture, structure, and strategy. Causal perspective. Organizational culture, structure, and strategy – A tailored approach. Cultural, structural, and strategic fit. An analytical model for studying alignment. Horizontal alignment: Cultural and structural profiles. Vertical alignment: cultural and structural decisions are brought into a coherent analytical framework. Organizational cultural alignment.
