INNOVATION CULTURE IN INNOVATIVE BUSINESSES

The way each company creates a culture of innovation is different. The process of innovation culture starts with the right mindset and leaders need to anticipate obstacles. Culture is not one of the simplest issues to be considered when it comes to dealing with major business activities. Culture is also a complement to the formal regulations established during business operations. “Companies need to think not only about innovation culture inside but innovation culture which crosses the borders of the organization. Provides a profile of innovation culture using 5 determinants of innovation culture: values, strategy, structure, behavior, communication, and leadership.” (Losane, 2013, Loc. 2758). Innovation businesses are firmly rooted such as creativity, imagination, sharing, and empathy. Businesses innovate in team building so they can adapt when processes and new ideas are coming. “The creativity of an organization depends on how the leader designs the organization and creates the environment that allows creativity to develop. It can also depend on how they encourage and manage diversity in the organization.” (Agbor, 2008). Underdahl (2016) proposed, “The call to action is clear: Leaders must inspire a capacity to embrace innovation. Stealth leadership represents a sustainable paradigm for influencing the culture of innovation.” (p. 71). Innovation leaders create a friendly innovation culture environment; they implement the commitment to innovation; leaders and staff build their innovative-oriented organization; establish inter-organization to confront challenges of administration, flows of task, technology, training, and changes; determine creativity and innovation training needs; revise job descriptions that complement creative and innovation tasks to all specialists, supervisors, managers, and leaders to reflect changes; decide tasks does not need to be done to create more time for the innovation; project a budget and reward policy for creative and innovative ideas; change the agenda of meetings in a way that focuses on creative thinking and project planning.
